DeSantis on Twitter spaces was.. odd.

Let’s say for a moment that DeSantis wasn’t stymied by technical glitches (although this was entirely predictable). Why the heck was this supposed to be a good idea?

Why put your big announcement in the hands of someone else?

Why spit on your own claim to populist appeal and tie yourself to a hugely rich and controversial figure? Why make your big time to shine a conversation with someone unknown? And why spend the time talking about stuff few Republicans care about? And why do it audio only, like it’s 1923 and you’re Coolidge?

What made this a good idea?
