Deranged Photography Contests - Bug Out Theme - sunbathing dragonfly
I normally don't photograph insects that much, but this one was just waiting for the photo. It was taken in an almost desert beach somewhere near Sihanoukville, in Cambodja. A dragonfly was wondering in the beach near the place where me and my travel companions decided to stay, and she perched on the only leaf in the sand.
It's rare for me to be able to get so close and have the time to capture the moment without them taking off, but I was very lucky this time; I could take a lot more photos from different angles.

This one was posing! Sometimes it would fly for a few seconds and then rest on the same spot again; and the contrast with the sea and sand just helped the photo!
