The GOOD kind of stress eating?! That's right...

Believe it or not some of the best ways to fight fatigue from depression or stress are actually overlooked very easily. Today's tip for example... is eating!!!

That's right, EATING. No, not stuffing your face with a pound of candy or cake. No, not binge eating which is a habit I noticed at least I picked up in my fight. Eating is hard when you're stressed/depressed, honestly I would forget eating was even a thing.

But follow this analogy;
You get your first car, and it's awesome, you're driving ALL around town picking up your buddies, maybe going out for a night on the town or heading up to the mountains cause YOU finally got a car! After breaking in that bad boy you decide to do a beach trip... but the car won't start...? You glance down and sure enough, that gas tank is on empty. You were so busy having fun and breaking in the new car you forgot that they NEED gas to keep going!

People are kinda like cars in that aspect. They both need a steady supply of fuel! A car with no fuel isn't exactly gonna operate steadily. Just like your brain can't operate steadily without glucose (blood sugar). It's like cars needing quality gasoline to even start the ignition, WE need quality FOOD to keep our brain/body from running out of gas.

A fighter, CEO, even the president doesn't starve him/herself or binge eat because they know that maintaining a STEADY supply of energy is crucial in their endeavors. Their endeavors lead to succeeding in their life (usually) which leads to even more happiness as a result!

In addition to nourishing your body/brain, getting eating back on track is another opportunity to cultivate a good habit.

Maybe you'll learn you love cooking. Maybe you'll end up going to an awesome rooftop restaurant. Or in my case, fixing my eating habits has lead to actually having energy to carry out daily tasks & im conversing with my family at dinner for the first time in 15 years.

It's a hard process, but your body like we talked about, is your car. You wouldn't try driving 50 miles with the gas light on, it's the same situation wanting to take on the day without eating breakfast!
