To fade or not prosper

Just when the light of his pieced together world had begun to faded and he was ready to embrace the darkness and drift off into the unknown but seemingly comforting abyss a familiar new flicker appeared. Almost agitated he wanted to ignore the light and finally drift away oh how the thought seemed to be of immense comfort for at least fading into the unknown might hold something different than the mundane day to day he had grown to know all to well. It was then he had to decide if he was going to really give up this time or reach for the flicker and begin the overtaxing process of beginning anew once more. Should he keep on trying even if that meant that his sanity would drift even further and pulling himself out of the sand pit would be even more difficult than any of the other times beforehand? Or should he finally let it end and take a chance on a venture into the unknown
