James Rodriguez, Bayern Munich's new striker, has already left Real Madrid, after both clubs close the deal this week. James Rodriguez will play for Bayern Munich in the next two seasons but in his contract there is no standard clause in the operations carried out by Real Madrid on their assignments.

James Rodriguez does not have in his contract the famous clause of fear. That means James Rodriguez will be able to face Real Madrid in a hypothetical duel in the Champions League 2017/2018. Real Madrid is accustomed to put this clause to prevent their winners face the Real Madrid team, but in the case of James Rodriguez can not be. UEFA does not contemplate such clauses.

UEFA argues that the Disciplinary Regulations contain provisions on the strict prohibition of any club exercising or attempting to influence the participation of players of another team in a match. "Any clause of a private contract between two clubs that violates this condition is totally null, invalid and irrelevant as far as UEFA is concerned," is what UEFA says.
