For the love of all that is good in the world, please distract me. I just made a dentist appointment. You have to understand: I have legitimate PTSD. Going to the dentist triggers that. Ergo, I don't go until the pain levels are so bad, I would blow my brains out if I had a gun. The pain has to override the terror, and I have a high tolerance for pain, y'all. And I just made an appointment for the soonest time they had (which is Saturday).
Translation: kill me now.
I am on 2000 mg of ibuprofen + an aspirin + more Orabase in my mouth than you can shake a stick at. Still want to die.
So, please give me thoughtless distraction and giggles. Funny cat memes?
And wish me luck for Saturday. I have a ride, to go out to BFE on the recommendation for a dentist who not only takes my insurance, but is good with high anxiety patients ("he's a big teddy bear," was the recommendation).

No, simply because to me, cloves smell = dentist, and it would just put me in terror. They actually DO use cloves at the dentist, that's the smell when you walk in. It's a negative association thing. :(
This tooth has broken off four pieces since December. The pain has flared before a break, so maybe a piece will come off and I can relax, but either way, it needs to come out. 😵

I had two cavities filled yesterday. And it took 6 hours for my nose to no longer be numb from the darn shots. I hope your new dentist works well with you! I have nothing to distract you with, so here's a picture of a kitty sleeping.

I'm very fortunate that I've never had much in the way of teeth problems. Last major issue was 2015 with a molar infected and they doped me up good and just pulled it. Dr said it couldn't have gone easier. I'm so sorry! Doubly hard to face when it flairs up your ptsd!
