Forgive Clinton to Attack Trump (FCAT) is Failed DEM Strategy!

The 'Forgive Clinton to Attack Trump' (FCAT) political strategy of Democrats is a failed effort. For sure, Democrats with media help might see short terms gains during special elections -- but that's about it!

Here's the reality: For all of the FCAT hammering Democrats have laid upon Trump -- Russians, money laundering, soiled linen, patronage, golfing complaints, etc. -- one would think Democrats would be way in the lead when it comes to voter registration. In fact, it's the opposite. According to Gallup's monthly voter registration tracking, Republicans currently edge out the Democrats 29 to 28%. Independent voters comprise 42% of the electorate.

The control and influence over how the government functions rests within the two political party's 25-30% range; however, the issues important to people can be gleaned from the 40-45% Independent voter registration range. The very strong Independent voter registration edge is telling us that issues are more important than party loyalty. It also hints at why voters today lean towards and and actually prefer "outsiders" in politics.

What also will cause FCAT to fail?

There is so much more in the mill to consider. For example, what would a "war" wild card do when it comes to influencing the US elections? Syria and Iran are on the brink. There's always the potential for North Korea. And sending the US military into Venezuela, with a cooked-up fake alignment with Colombia, would be a cake walk involving no Russians or Chinese, but still include all of the pressures of American troops on foreign soil.

The electorate will always vote to support the troops! And no American "war president" has ever lost re-election. Trump and his strategists know this!

One also has to consider what a Trump & The GOPwinger political counterattack might become like. It remains that lots of voters aren't happy Hillary Clinton was let off the hook for her email controversy; that the Democratic primary got rigged and Bernie Sanders was cheated; that the pay-to-play Clinton Foundation allegations still seem slimy; that Obama's Wall Street banking was warmongering in nature; and that Democrats also engage in oil pipeline diplomacy. There's also the corrupt hue present in the Democrat-controlled FBI investigations, abuse of FISA warrants and unmasking of citizens. Unwittingly, Democrats might have delivered a fat meatball pitch right into Trump's wheelhouse, with Mike Pence standing on third base waiting to score!

Also, what happens if Mueller indicts a couple of Democrats in the course of his investigation -- do the Trump forces then call it a wash and use the (D) indictment(s) to dismiss any indictments against his own players? And what if he skates free of Russian collusion charges?

Again, the present FCAT Strategy is as risky as was the very nature of the Hillary Clinton candidacy. Extremely risky!

The 2016 election, via the campaigns of Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump, clearly established voters are disgusted with "insider" politicians. One of the reasons why Clinton lost is never ever discussed in the media: Had HRC won in 2016 and become re-elected in 2020, America would have seen a Bush or a Clinton in the presidency for nine of 11 presidential terms. Who among you actually think this would have been acceptable to the American people? This is the real reason why Clinton lost, nothing Russian about it!

Ultimately, Pelosi-Schumer-Perez (read Clinton) Democrats think they can attack Trump so badly that suburban Republicans led by flaky McCains, Bushes and warworthy neocons will eventually join Democrats in order to create an anti-Trump coalition to bring Democratic victories in the 2018 mid-terms and the 2020 presidential election. The real plan to this strategy, of course, is actually to keep the politics of the nation in the political center, but covertly still within the very deep pockets of the corporate oligarchy which owns and controls America's media as well as nearly all national and state politicians.

Unfortunately, this same oligarchy presently controls Trump on foreign policy. Have you noticed? This same oligarchy likely has Mike Pence and Paul Ryan pulling the strings to America's domestic policy. Trump is nothing but a figurehead very astute at creating necessary diversions -- hatred, if you will -- to help enhance the economic and deregulatory positions of the profiteers. The oligarchy is getting everything it wants from Trump (everything it also would have gotten from Clinton, and more)!

You see, Trump was the wrong "outsider!" A greedy and egotistical billionaire will forever, in reality, remain an "insider!" But so long as the Democrats play FCAT politics, Trump can continue to stake a claim he is an "outsider" and tweet that it's just taking longer than he expected to clean up Washington. His flock of followers will go right along with him, merrily condemning Clinton, Pelosi, Schumer, privilege and elitism in a rural-styled very well gerrymandered political strategy.

There's no question about it. Americans are sick of seeing the lofty-minded one percent feed the 10 percent who then feed a media and consultant class. Together, they create exploitative resource wars where only they gain while humanity suffers. Together, they keep America from having universal health care and unions powerless. Meanwhile, politicians from both political parties are bought to support Big Banking, Big Oil, Big Defense, Big Pharma/Insurance, Big Agri and a Very Big Drug War replete with private prisons and probation departments. Money and voter suppression rule!

This is precisely why Democrats -- to win in 2018 and in 2020 -- need, once and for all, to finally condemn and apologize for its Clinton-Obama politics, a kind of politics people already have resoundingly rejected (forget about California giving HRC the popular vote!). The question remains: How can Democrats possibly find it acceptable that 95% of the wealth generated in America during Obama's presidency went to the fat cats at the top? In order to rebuild the party, Democrats need to deal with this cruel and startling statistic of reality.

Bernie Sanders has said it, and it's true. Democrats need a political revolution to rebuild the party from the bottom up, based on the strength of issues important to people in every day life. Sanders remains the only true "outsider" who today has a role in national politics!

Finally, FCAT is nothing but a strategy for treading water in a sea of pain! Let's also cleanse our political oceans!
