Ukrainian born Eugene Vindman easily won the Democratic primary in Virginia.

Good stuff. He's favored to win the open seat in the general election.

If you'll recall his twin brother Alex was the whistleblower on the Trump phone call where then-President Trump offered a quid pro quo to President Zelensky. Trump wanted Zelensky to investigate Joe Biden in exchange for Trump releasing the aid to Ukraine.

This was the basis of the first impeachment against Trump.

Eugene at the time was senior ethics official on the National Security Council. He received the report of the phone call from his brother and Eugene reported it to the White House lawyers.

They're American heroes.

Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Eugene has assisted Russian war crimes investigations.
