Quite a few channels are reporting on recent attacks against Bernie Sanders, claiming he is again an underdog, and is not the best candidate to defeat Trump in 2020. See for example David Packman's recent post:
Never mind the insanity of thinking Trump will actually try for a second term (he clearly loathes being POTUS as might run again only if it suits his continuing financial interests). The actual numbers do not support this neoliberal shrill attack against Sanders. In the latest Iowa 2020 primary polling Sanders is second favourite only to Biden, (https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/5630344-2182-Methodology-Dems.html#document/p1) but this is not even a basis for Bernie to worry, since Biden is often perceived as a populist, which is exactly the type of support Bernie gets, so this polling data actually helps support the case for Bernie. Also, neither Bidne nor Bernie have announced they will run in 2020. So it is all of a kind of pre-emptive attack b
