Not really. It all depends. For example in Kuwait there is only one ruler and people, all people, live like Kings with checks coming from everywhere.

It's not the political party that matters but rather the economic power. The political power is supposed to be used for economic and personal freedom. Monarchy can supply this in the case of Kuwait.

Democracy is also too overrated, too generalised of an idea. Venezuela has democracy as well and it is drowing in shit. Singapore has democracy and it has vast wealth and liberty.

The questions is never whether a system is better than another. Political systems are irrelevant. A political system is always best for some people but not for some others. For example Democracy is the best system for the rulers since themselves act anarchic.
