Vampire dentist

In the belly of the whale:

Deep in the belly of the whale there are many broken bones and rusty swords and here and there the glint of gold coins.

The whale was very old and had cracked yellow teeth and one big eye left that it looked out of and swam around eating anything it could find. It was so old its whiskers were white and seven feet long.

In one corner of its belly was the chalice of eternal life and it was spilling out its life-giving waters into the whale’s belly.

It came from a knight who had found the Holy Grail but had fallen overboard in a storm as he was going home and the whale swallowed him up by mistake.

But that was long ago and now the whale was growing bigger all the time and soon would be so big it would be able to swallow the whole world. There wasn’t much room left for it to swim in.

One day, the whale had toothache and so went to a dentist to have it pulled out.

The dentist was a clever man and noticed that the whale was very big and so after administering knock-out gas he pulled the tooth then went down into the belly of the whale and found the chalice of eternal life. So he took it and hid it away.

After the whale woke up the dentist said:

“You will be ok now and in time you will grow back to your normal size.”

The whale thanked the dentist and swam off and hoped that in time it would become normal size again and live a happy life.

The vampire dentist:

The dentist had a terrible secret: he was a vampire and liked to drink people’s blood. So when people came to him to have their teeth done he would give them knock-out gas to put them to sleep and drink a pint of their blood.

Whenever anyone remarked why there were two holes in their neck he would tell them it was the machine he used to pull their teeth that made the marks and so off they would go feeling rather peculiar but glad their teeth were okay.

One day while extracting a tooth from a big whale, he found a chalice in its belly and liked it so much he kept it and hid it away. It was the chalice of eternal life but it had one magical property that was a side effect: the longer you lived the bigger you would grow.

And so after a hundred years of drinking from the chalice the dentist grew to be twenty three feet tall which is about seven meters and people became afraid of him and didn’t go to see him anymore to have their teeth done.

One day he decided to move away and go live with the giants on their island so he packed up all he owned and put it in a boat and sailed out to sea to the island, but half way there a storm came and capsized the boat, and he and all his belongings fell into the sea and as chance would have it a whale was swimming by and swallowed the man and his belongings down into its belly.

The chalice rolled into a corner of the whale’s belly and its eternal life-giving waters leaked out into the whale’s belly and the whale began to grow big again for it was the same whale that had gone to the dentist with toothache.

Deja vu:

A month later the whale began having toothache on the other side of its mouth this time, and so went to seek out a dentist again...
