How much did the military spend yesterday? $2.1 billion
Lockheed Martin shows up again on the daily spending roster, this time snagging two contracts: one for half a billion dollars for weapon review, testing, and support. The smaller amount, just $8 million, is a modification of an earlier contract for more testing and support.
The other large contract for the day, $850 million, is divvied up between seven companies that will provide high-level advisory and assistance services to the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency.

Trump said the military spending was one of the major reasons he signed the bill, which had earlier threatened to veto.
"Our military is very depleted, but it's rapidly getting better. And in a short period of time it will be stronger than it has ever been," Trump said, touting some weapons systems as the best the world has ever seen.
