They should follow Toyota's lead (the best built hybrids today-Consumer Reports 2002-2018), and when Toyota/Lexus's hybrids are in electric mode they emulate a fake motor sound that can be heard clearly (could prevent a fatal accident) as pedestrians can hear the car coming around a corner or through a blind spot area.
