Farewell DeepOnion?

Hi fellow Cryptolovers,

First of all... happy holidays to all of you, may your trading be successful and your profits high !

And now some words concerning the title of this topic:

I have been a proud DeepOnion member for several months now and glad I could be a part of it.
During these months I saw how DeepOnion managed to grow their popularity & community.
they've launched a few wonderful things (DeepVault, DeepOnion Shop, DeepPoints, ... ) and there are still some nice things a head for 2018... so when it comes to making progress on their road they are doing a great job.... but.....

This project has some flaws that for some reason are ignored or cannot be addressed by good believing & supporting members, which I was during a a big part of my membership.
I'm not going to be a troll for their project, but I consider this message as a last shout out to the team behind it and hope that this time they open up their eyes before it's to late, so here it is :

Support:

• DeepOnion has enlarged their moderation & development team to meet the wishes of their community & to make faster progress on their further development, but when it comes to have deeper inside in pending issues, request, suggestions, they seem to lack the knowledge, time, courage or even will to keep track of those and to handle these things prior to the new things. It's unclear on which requirements these moderators have been chosen.

Deeppoints :

• As soon as they launched their deepPoints, a lot of people started to join the community, because they noticed that there was some free money to grab.. which resulted in a massive DeepOnion spam in cryptoworld, and needless to say, a lot of people started to become annoyed by this aggressive approach... and it took some weeks for the team to realize this... despite the fact that a lot of elder members addressed this issue.
  To be honest, a lot of DeepPoints went to people that were not even slightly interested in the project and actualy did not "deserve" the right to get those free onions....
  As a result to that, the team behind DeepOnion decided to create VIP domination tasks, which were threads that could only be completed by a select group of members... and the earning for these efforts were higher.. good call you would think? yeah.. for at least a short amount of time (takling about 2 weeks)

New Members:

• as a follow up on the previous item, those new members on the board have been flooding the community forum with a lot of useless topics like 'how old are you?', 'do you have a girfriend?', 'what kind of pet do you have?', '....' and questions like 'how can i get free onions?', 'what will the onion price be on newyear, christmass,?', '....'
  These kind of topics were the cause that other, more interesting topics, vanished quickly from the top threads in the overview, which lead again to a lot of frustration amongst the elder members

Vip dominators:

• I managed to become one of the first VIP dominators, because my comments were always different, good English and as they like to call it... ninja style.. I always managed to start a conversation about DeepOnion which was in fact the goal if this... make sure people participate in threads so they talk about DeepOnion.. and not only post stuff like 'DeepOnion is good investment', 'DeepOnion to the moon', 'DeepOnion rules, free onions!', 'easy money', '.....'
  Unfortunately, due to my quest in fixing my wallet which was locked with a big amount of onions and my repeating shout out for help to fix it, I got banned a few times and they removed me from the VIP tasks. Leaving me behind with a bunch of frustration & dissapointed feelings in the project.
  I've been asking to take a new look at my status and get me back in the VIP team, so I can have the chance to regain the lost onions, but so far no luck... and no answer for which reason i got kicked out has been given my them....

Knowledge :

• I'm sure there are a few members of the (DEV) team that have good knowledge on the wallet, technology, ... but it's sad to keep getting the same answers over and over again and to be held 100% responsible for issues with the wallet.
  To be clear... yes, people should make sure that the wallet (QT-wallets) work as they should, which actualy was the case when i first installed that wallet. and yes, users should make a backup from the original fresh installed wallet and use the dumpprivkey command in the debug console to retreive the private key for their wallet adddress... allthough.. a lot of new users are not aware of this important facts and frankly, try and find this info (if you are aware of it) on the community board. Cryptoworld is huge and it's impossible for new members to be aware of ALL the issues they can encounter when starting their adventure. I've suggested a few times to pin these important things on the homepage, so new members could easily be kept aware of the stuff that is higly important.This can't be such a big deal to handle ?
  so, NO, when something is wrong with the wallet, provided & branden by DeepOnion, you can't point the finger only to the user... the team should have deep investigation into it to be sure that such things as 'being unable to transfer coins out' or 'being unable to dump a private key' and make sure these issues get solved. You cannot blame a user who installed a wallet, which have been working for weeks without issues and then suddenly decides to break, and hold them responsible for it... they should read between the lines and stop pointing the fingers and ignore all the rest.
  A good project needs good support, simple as that.. it's not only marketing that counts

Moderation :

• When looking at this part of the project, there are some flaws that were addressed before but also seem to be ignored.
  Some of the moderators don't master the English language as they should, which lead to missreading/missunderstanding and was the result of my 2 bans... This fact was even confirmed by other moderators and even after trying to explain what I tried to say, even then I got the reply that I cannot send messages to a certain moderator anymore, otherwise i would be banned permanently.. and this is sad.. knowing that I did not actualy did something wrong and when trying to explain that that pointing finger emerged again. But it looks like when members point the finger in the direction of the team they are quickly blocked with short standard answers or even get banned for speaking out in a friendly, honest way.
  conclusion: the team just can't handle honest opinions and only blames users for acting bad.. and i'm sure that in at least 60-70% of all the cases, this is wrong.

Rewards :

• a lot of members have problems in the way moderators are rewarded. If you look at the blockexplorer / airdrop explorer you'll see some monster gains for certain people. To be frank... some of those rewards are overkill and really look like that in the end, the only ones that will have huge profit on DeepOnion will be the moderators/developers & some investors. Don't get me wrong, these people should have higher rewards, but considering their big wallets, they actualy already gain much more rewardings than "normal" community members. And when looking at the last changes in the rewarding system it's getting harder for elder "normal" members to participate in these profits.
  It's like all the efforts that were made before are going down the drain.
  For example : The Deeppoints have been stopped for about 95% (I did not calculate it ) of the members, and only the VIP members gain DeepPoints, the other people who do normal domination tasks, are active in the cryptoworld and spread the "DeepOnion word" are left in the cold. The only way they can earn some of those points is by creating meme's, wallpapers, .... and even then only a few of them will actualy get the points, when they are "the best" designer or the most active member... all the other efforts are worthless... this is more like a contest where only the top 3 will get rewarded for the effort. bad call team.. really bad call.. you should reward all people that bring good support to the project and not only select the top members. Investing time is a good as investing money, and good publicity should be rewarded, regardless of the fact that some users were not the best. These people (referring to the ones that actualy made an effort in promoting DeepOnion) invested the same amount of time in it....

Open Minded :
As last point I would like to address the fact that a lot of team-members should be more open mindend and less abusing their power. This might sound a bit harsh, but bear with me... I'll explain a bit "deeper" :

• Don't cut of people for being straight forward.. instead explain a bit more in detail why certain decision was made. Why did you remove the topic, why did that user not receive an airdrop, why was a support-ticket closed without further due, why are some interesting suggestions or other threads ignored?
  If you don't have the time to have deeper answers, expand the moderator team some more, and don't be agitated or angry because some users want a deeper explanation. I have experience in being a moderator, with success, and proposed to take up this job, not for the rewards, but to lower the pressure for the other mods...
• accept the fact that not all of the decisions you guys make are good and acknowledge the fact that sometimes you are wrong and correct it. I know it's heard to admit being wrong, but it takes a great person to be able to do this.. and it would return more appriciation further down the road... Give the people the chance to have open discussions and react in a proper way to it, without using the power to ban or block. Don't get me wrong... some users actualy deserve to get this

Oh, and please.. start cleaning out those "dead" members in the community... a lot of them only entered for free onions and left when they saw they had to make to much effort to get them... There are a bunch of accounts that have not been active for months... remove them... this way you guys will get a more honest number of active members...

So... allthough this thread may result in a permanent ban for me from the community, I urge the team behind DeepOnion to take the time to read this and take action to make the community better and more solid as it is now.

Without further due... If you see my name popping up in the community board, it means the team actualy appriciated this thread and acknowledged the fact that what I wrote is correct and not meant as a trolling... If not... well, to use the words of one of the head moderators of DeepOnion ... "keep up"... and you'll probably see me popping up in other places in cryptoworld ;)
