How to Install a Fresh Copy of DeepOnion Wallet

The purpose of this tutorial is to show how to install a fresh copy of DeepOnion due to a few scenarios.

1. Your wallet has been corrupted and you get erroneous errors
2. No connection to the network even after updating nodes, checking firewall settings, etc.
3. Wallet does not BEGIN staking after 24 hours of coins in your wallet showing "coins not mature" even though you have coins, wallet is encrypted and unlocked for staking purposes and you have connection to the network.

Setup a .conf file
Backup and import wallet data

Procedure:

1. BACKUP YOUR WALLET!!
2. Open any file explorer window and type "%appdata%" then Enter
   
3. Open the "DeepOnion" directory
4. Select every file in the directory
5. Delete all files (I know, it hurts and yes, I'm serious)
6. Open your DeepOnion Wallet
7. Wait for it to sync
8. Close DeepOnion Wallet
9. Import your backed up wallet.dat file
10. Open your DeepOnion Wallet
11. Wait for everything to sync up and enjoy

Notes:

As DeepOnion gets older, the blockchain is going to take much longer to sync up. After a while, blockchain downloads will be around, especially in these forums where you can sync your wallet quicker. Currently, it's not really needed. I suggest only backing up the wallet.dat file as normal and deleting everything because the reason your wallet might have issues is due to a corrupt database file. Yes, wallet.dat files can also go corrupt, but you should have multiple backups just in case.

By using a wallet on your computer, you must hold yourself fully accountable for not maintaining proper backups.
