In older, more civilized societies, those in the ruling class and their sons would be the first to be sent to battle, should the rulers decide to enter into war. Even in decadent Imperial Rome, the emperor personally commanded his legions in campaigns, with much of the Senatorial class as officers and adjunctants. Men, who have failed as monumentally as Kennedy, Johnson, McNamara, and Westmoreland would fall on their swords. Families of cowardice, like Clinton, Bush, Podesta, Trump, would not be able to hold public office for three generations.

Now, we live in a world with no civilized norms. In our degenerate times, the rulers "command" his armies from temperature controlled rooms, via computer screens, sipping their imported brandy, accountable only to their donors and potential voters, considering only their electoral probability. Cowards and scum rise to high office. Mercantile gnomes determine social policies. The populace is denuded of everthing noble and can not even defend their own sociocultural heritage. The society is handed over to gangsters and prostitutes.

Maybe the West deserves the Marxist revolution that will cleanse 90% of the current ruling class via execution and 30% of the general population via starvation.
