The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), marking the 12th anniversary of the stay and work of its astronauts in the orbital laboratory, has launched a service that sends a warning to people when the International Space Station flies in the sky over their places of residence.

If you register, you will receive an e-mail or SMS a few hours before the ISS appears in your visibility zone. And then, when the long-awaited moment comes, you just go and watch - you do not need to take any additional surveillance equipment with you, says NASA.

Usually, the ISS is clearly visible at sunset or at dawn, when the Moon becomes the only brighter than the station, an object that illuminates the night sky. ISS looks in the sky as a rapidly moving luminous point, and reminds Venus.

Service Spot the Station is available worldwide, the space agency says, adding that the trajectory of the station is such that it can be watched by 90% of the world's population at different times.
