..it's Lucifer gone bonkers in the shape of Satan that bothers me!

Depending on how you see things in general and the mythologies in particular, Lucifer as such is still busy working as the harsh spirit in nature shaping forms of life by the forces at work in natural evolution, while Satan is the perverted form of this spirit that has humans do evil things of all kinds, worst of all wittingly to the most helpless amongst us.
