as EOS is my pick alternative to Etherium, deCRED is my prime choice against Bitcoin. It's everything Bitcoin should be, super fast transactions with a hybrid proof of work / proof of stake governance algorithm which places a balance in power between the coin holders and miners. They are currently, and if not mistaken will be first to implement the lightning network... yes they are way ahead of bitcoin, this was my main investment a few months ago before learning about EOS (now investment is split between both).
