Success in any organization is determined by the way the followers support the vision of the leader. If you are a good follower, you'll be a good leader. You can't be frustrating the effort of your leaders and you expect to do well when you get to the top. That is not possible.

No matter how skillful you are, or how sound you are in administration, the moment you failed to support the vision of your leaders, then you are on the verge of failure.

Leaders are bound to make errors because they are humans. So, don't nail them because they make mistakes. If everyone can support the visions of the leaders, great success is achieveable. Please note this, if you fail to serve faithfully, you cannot get to the place of leadership.

Act of saboteuring the effort of the leadership either directly or indirectly, always end up in shame. It's not too late to change, henceforth be a pillar to that body and not a caterpillar.
