Decentralized Aragon court
Decentralized courts exist and they are better at what they do than their government run counterparts. Government courts can often take years to settle court cases and are very costly to tax payers. Not to mention the level of corruption allowing cops to get away with crimes against civilians like rape, murder, planting illegal drugs in someone’s car, etc. Government courts are also compulsory meaning you don’t have a choice but to go to jury duty or you could be fined or go to prison. Decentralized courts are voluntary, not leaching off of people through taxes, they are not as coercive, and overall more efficient. They have to be better overall, as they will lose money and possibly go out of business. This would be all courts in a voluntary society. They are not perfect, but they have much more incentive to do a good job and to be honest.
