Thanks for the video! I started taking my currencies off of exchanges only once my crypto investments increased tremendously and I realized I was paranoid about security. If it wasnt for that I really would have not grasped the concept of me being completely in control. I was more interested in the beginning about being able to transfer currencies from one place to another instantly (that was revolutionary enouth to me). It takes some time to fully understand and value the true potential of crypto.
You can never fully trust centralized exchanges. With the upcoming technological advances in decentralized exchange technology, like Bitshares, we are beginning to see the unfolding of a truly decentralized ecosystem in cyberspace. This type of environment has existed in technologies like BitTorrent since the early 90s, and PGP Encryption technology that keeps us anonymous has been around since the 1970s thanks to the Cypherpunks. With decentralized exchanges, programmable protocols, and privacy coins, we will all witness the evolution of a truly decentralized internet. Mark my words. The communication of value via algorithmic equations is just the beginning.
