[IPFS.PICS] and WebTorrent
To continue on my subject and as promised , i will today write about two product that i consider decentrilized and useful. They may not be big yet but they have great potential and try to tackles on the challenge to offer fully decentrilized end-product for everyone. IPFS.pics and WebTorrent
IPFS Pics
IPFS.pics is more or less an instagram dencentrilzed. It benefit from the immutability of IPFS cloud network for storage.
The application is simple, you upload an image, people vote on them, look at them and share them. You obtain a share code and also a prepared html snippet to embed image. You can also use it to upload image and show it here in Steemit ! This is what I do!
The front end migth benefit from a bit of color and UX but it works prrety fine.
WebTorrent
Interestingly simple torrent client. You still search torrent anyway you did before, just paste either the magnet link througth the ever useful copy-paste method; And Pouf. Its gone and fast.
Alternative torrent you can start some of the stuff you download, mainly video, either througth their video player or VLC if you got it installed.
No publicity and simple, efficient UI.
Conclusion:
Two simple product, but they take a place that is known. They are not re-inventing the wheel, only make it simpler and better. IPFS as much more potential than only picture, it is a concept of the impermutability of data. It can serve as proof of existence, of possetion, of creation and more.
