Decentralize the Octopus

Decentralization - From octopus to snakes

Decentralization, a word I associate with freedom for the majority of people. Though I am not a communist I agree with Commandante Ernesto Guevara on his description of imperialism as giant octopuses using their many long arms to feed one head.

Decentralization chops these arms off and urge them to live on their own causing the head to starve and eventually die while the octopus arms live freely within their new nature as snakes in the wild jungles of life. When the distance from the head to the arms is too big or when the head don’t understand the needs of the arms it calls for times of decentralization.

However I must state that a small octopus who cares for his tentacles is beautiful. As beautiful as a little community of folks tending the earth and themselves.

At present we have taken evolution in our own hands and a great decentralization process has started. Something that is evident in the increasing numbers of intentional communities like permaculture communities, green communities, transition towns, spiritual and green communities, crypto currencies as well as the increase of true conservative values within the conventional mass of people. People seem to naturally shun the global agendas that are in the works and based on their deeper intuition seek more simple and basic means of living.

The exiting element is that life is a flux and changes everyday so who know where the coin is landing. In the end. If there really is an end?

The call is ours, chose well.

Endless greetings
