Yours is the fourth post I've seen in passing this week about decenternet... I find it quite interesting that...
no one entity controls the flow of information.
How is that different from no agency overseeing, monitoring or ruling over the internet now?
I mean.. airplanes have the FAA... major highway crashes have the NTSB.. but who does the www have?
ISPs, Google, Facebook, Verizon, AT&T, the FCC.
All of them, to some extent, exercise some control over what you see and how much of it you see.
Also, in certain parts of the world, the government controls everything (China, North Korea, Iran). Citizens in those places are very limited in their access.
