Very interesting project. Been hearing about it lately.
Nice to see a talk about the subject from the developers themselves.
Censorship is an enormous looming issue.
Entirely correct that even changing of ranking in search is very harmful to discovery.
We live in the global village. That makes communication powerful. -- Which creates increasing incentives for large players to censor, in order to maintain their positions, which may be disrupted by a free flow of quickly spreading information and dialogue. Any new technology creating a buffer against that is important.
Absolutely, this project has a lot of potential and I hope to see it deliver.
He has some very interesting stuff to say about Smart cities and how these need to be run on a decentralised basis with privacy protected, otherwise they are very dangerous at many levels.
Totally agree with you on the incentive to censor for big players that are still stuck in lack mentality and worried that freedom of information and innovation could ruin things for them.
