Debaters Debate Topic #1 ALTERNATIVE ENERGY- Can alternative energy effectively replace fossil fuels?
In my opinion, Yes alternative energy can replace fossil fuels and the technology has existed for quite some time.
John Searl has created a zero energy generator named after himself, decades ago. I am sad to say that we haven't started using it, in my belief as a direct result of corporate greed. Here is a link to a video that talks directly to and about John Searl and his Zero Energy Searl Generator. Thank you @phusionphil for bringing this to my attention.
There are multiple technologies that put us on the brink of self sufficiency.
Not only alternative sources requiring new technology but older technology as well. Pictured above is a Grain Furnace. Its fuel is corn, wheat, wood pellets etc. It will heat a 3500 sq ft home (110,000 BTU) for between $2.00 - $3.00 per day. However to put it into perspective the annual USA corn production would heat only 854,333 households for an entire year.
Those videos may be uploaded to dtube not sure how that helps tge discussion though?
It doesn't, it just helps you get more money :)
State an argument for or against the topic and something to back up your argument.
Tech is too expensive for the average consumer meaning it is a niche market for rich people. You need to find ways to market to rich AND common as to NOT distance the two too much. Make it something the average consumer wants, but the mildly rich can afford. This will drive demand to add supply and lower costs.
Tricky, but difficult.
Absolutely I agree Thats a great point.
However the zero energy power has been of interest, the rich who have invested interest in the fossil fuel industry would be damaged and threatened by such a technology existing. So one could argue that the technology has been available just kept from the general public as being factual. The Searl effect is very real. Now I will upload these videos to dtube.
