Crypto Currency: The end of crypto and the beginning of currency?
Hi,
It's me. The typical crypto enthusiast. You can probably recognize me when you look in the mirror. Now let me tell you about myself.
I started doing crypto when I went to the bank to exchange some cash and I realized I got 'hacked'. I gave them 100%, but what I got back was 90%. I wanted to be part of a world where nobody could put their hand in your pocket and take 10% just like that. That's when I started doing crypto. Bitcoin, TittieCoin, WankCoin, DeepOnion, Garlicoin, etc. Same as everyone, the Gold Rush took over me. If there was a new ICO (Initial Coin Offering), I was on it. If a shit coin offered free coins, I was waiting in line for my turn. Any opportunity to make some cash, I was there. Then one day, as I saw the shit coins kept coming, and coming, and coming, something changed. I started looking for quality instead of quantity. I started looking for coins that had a purpose. Coins that already had a functional platform, and that were already being used: STEEM, CoinPoker, FUNDZ, Ethereum, etc. Investment rather than pure speculation seems to be the right way if you're thinking about the future of crypto as currency. Why? Because I genuinely believe in 10 years there will be no paper money. Whether crypto stays crypto or it becomes currency only depends on us. According to CryptoCoinCharts, WankCoin is ranked 4278th! It looks rather dead, even though it's actually one of the coins that actually have a purpose: anonymously buy porn on the Internet. If everyone's in for a quick buck, we'll see crypto fail as currency. At one point, the market will see a huge dip, because only a huge dip can achieve what needs to be achieved. Only a huge dip will result in the death of the shit coin and the success of the bitcoin as a currency. I'm an optimist at heart, but I'm afraid many of us will get burnt because of this greed. I know it's human nature, but I also know it can be controlled. So my advice is, do some research, look for quality, a project you believe in, and HODL. If it serves a purpose, you won't be disappointed. Don't chase the money and money will find you.
Peace
P.S. I took this picture at a restaurant in Osaka, Japan. I'd like to think that this is a picture of the future.
