RE: "Dear Dawne" Live Today! - Joining Groups & Being Involved With Discord

Indeed it is very important to be in a community and with Facebook cracking down on sharing steemit links what better way is it to get yourself into a Discord group and connect with people.

Steemit is all about engagement and yes we can find great people in various posts but being in a Discord community takes engagement up a notch.

I myself are in over Discord communities and active in about 8.. The Promo-mentors, Crypto Empire, Newbie resteem stay, Buddy Up, Steemit Ramble, Steem Star Network, You are Hope and a new Altruistic.

I have joined others but left for different reasons. It is about mixing and matching with the groups you identify with. So don't worry if you leave a group because it is no longer the right one for you. What's important is constantly engaging the community.

Sort:

When you find groups that you can fit in with, you stay. When you have and see other members supporting you, you support them back.
Being in a Discord group is more than just posting your own links. Communities thrive with support, they can only survive if you just show up and post and leave.

Indeed and it feels nice to have a community to belong, to be one of them and support and mentor them. Then celebrate their triumphs and when they get featured or curied/ocd

A big part of my salvation here in Steemit was when I was in such communities that supported one another and really made you look forward not just to their posts but also the banter in Discord.

The drop and leave link posters i just shake my head on those people.
