RE: "Dear Dawne" Live Today! - Get A "Pro" To Check Out Your Blog (the line starts forming..3..2..1..NOW)

in #deardawne7 years ago

First off thank you @goldendawne for taking the time for newbies! I was really interested in your Fostering a Gardener post! But at the time I did not have the requirements. I am itching to get my garden started for this year. Over the weekend my brother's wedding favors were heirloom seeds! I was picking out the ones I didn't already have! Anyway being new to STEEMIT, what would be your 3 DOs and 3 DON'Ts on the platform? And I am always looking for suggestions to get into the to 'groove' here on Steemit. Thanks in advance!

Hello,
I actually just did a basic post last week for @davemccoy covering the do's and don't's go to this link and see what I had to say.

As I said, these are the basics to get you started.

Finding your own groove can take some time. Things you need to consider are:

  • How much time do you have and want to spend on steemit?
  • Are you here long term?
  • What areas, topics and hobbies interest you? This will help you find a community and group to help advance your reputation and visibility.
  • Are you committed to a number of hours per day/week?
  • Can you spend just as much time commenting as you do posting quality content?

Once you have these questions answered, you should be able to find your groove and have a daily routine. And remember, if you post consistently for two weeks straight then you miss a week, you may lose a following of members that were reading your posts every day.

Thanks for the advice. I'll be sure to check out that post! Navigating through posts/comments/replies has been a learning curve. I will keep your words in mind as I grow in this community!
