The Dead Sea Scrolls are a collection of 972 documents, including texts from the Hebrew Bible, discovered between 1946 and 1956 in eleven caves in and around the ruins of the ancient settlement of Khirbet Qumran on the northwest shore of the Dead Sea in the West Bank.

Fragments of every book of the Hebrew canon (Old Testament bible) have been discovered except for the book of Esther.

Prophecies made by Ezekiel, Jeremiah and Daniel not found in the Bible are written in the Scrolls.

Various scrolls like the Copper Scroll or the Temple Scroll have contained previously unknown stories about biblical figures such as Enoch, Abraham, and Noah.
