RE: Mental Health Awareness

in #ddaily8 years ago

Love this video! My experience is I don't know if I'm depressed sometimes cause I read introvert is not actually a thing, but I know there are times (especially at the start of this year) where I was a lot sadder than normal. And because it's hard to express feelings sometimes as a male to another male (it is getting) I'd bottle up those feelings.

It's difficult for me to see friends go through it, cause I personally don't know what to say to cheer them up cause the way I get over my sadness is I get productive, but everyone is different.

Sort:

True that. I feel myself that in points of life I tend to realise and "fix" everything myself, by doing something productive or just hang out with friends seeking for social approval. It can work, but I feel that it works only for that moment. As you said - bottle up things and pickle them for later.

One thing that is a big start is to talk about it and be open. It also seems fhat if we speak about it with our friends they will laugh or ignore it and say all is good, you will be better is it just temporary. How else can we brake this invisible wall of uncertainty?

Thanks for your words of experience! Much Love from the other side of the world!
