Hi, DTube hosts the videos busing IPFS, which is a sort of "torrent", I am renting a dedicated server to seed the videos from users that want their videos to be saved.
DTube has limited resources, so after a few months they have delete old videos from their IPFS nodes to save space for new ones, but if someone else is also seeding the video in any other IPFS node DTube can still find the video and play the video. So while I am hosting/seeding, the video will either load faster when DTube is also seeding, or when DTube deletes from their IPFS node, mine will still host the video.
But I need to be contacted with the steemit post of the dtube video because for now I have to manually seed the video, I will add something more automatic as soon as I have more time and resources to do so.
