Above are the results to DCI's Open Class Prelims

In DCI, a highly competitive musical circuit similar to high school marching band competitions to the untrained eye, open class world prelims occurred yesterday in Michigan City, Indiana. For the young adults (all under 21 years old), this marks the beginning of the end for the 2017 season. Starting in November of the 2016, and paying a couple thousand dollars and spending 1000's of hours practicing in the summer sun, these performers have spent the last couple weeks traveling the country sleeping on gym floors, eating peanut butter/jelly sandwiches and spraying makeshift football fields into grassy patches. After all this time and effort, the results from this week will determine the outcome for thousands of performers from across the world.
Currently in the Open Class, Vanguard Cadets with a score of 80.425 and Blue Devils B with a score of 79.138 remain the two favorites to be this years 2017 Open Class World Champions. Results from the Open Class Finals will be released later tonight.
