RE: “Sometimes You have to be a Lion that You can be the Lamb You Really Are!”

Thank you for sharing this @mammasitta, this brought tears to my eyes!!

Dave Chapelle is also one of my favorite stand up comics, and I have a lot of respect for anyone who is able to turn their adversity into art. I see why you shared his speech—Other than the fabulous jokes throughout, the quote title of your post,

“Sometimes You have to be a Lion that You can be the Lamb You Really Are!”

is profound.

You have to give something your best honest shot if you want the chance to be fully heard. A lot of people follow, but those that can lead aren't copying someone else... They are brave enough to be themselves c:

I am so happy to see your wonderful comment @shello. You did understand my mind and i am so thankful. At the moment it feels that nobody really does but myself :)

I guess we are the only ones who did understand this profound message.
You are amazing and I just wanted to send a quick hello, even though I feel kind of down, blue and sad today. One of those phases I wish I could conquer in a better way but my recent surgery took a lot of my substance and I am struggling to find my usual emotional balance. I am still in shock that I did fight a beast and succeeded:)
I usually love to communicate, read and write especially in our community but my motivation to express myself was very low.
You inspire me so much because you remind me to myself when I started here in June 2016. 🌺

Thank you for all the love @mammasitta, I hope that your day gets better! I like to think that as long as you're doing something, don't stress out c: doing absolutely nothing is far worse. I have to remember sometimes that relaxing and taking breaks is okay to do.

Comedy adds some light to the darkness, and we don't want to end up in a world that lacks humor, compassion, and understanding! I feel like nowadays everyone is preaching acceptance, but it's starting to feel like coddling, and inclusion just for the sake of. Chapelle keeps it real, and I'm happy that we can share thoughts on some rather off the wall topics!

Stay blessed 💕
@shello

Keep it real is the key!

I never considered myself as a brilliant writer but I was flying the moment I realized that so many people did appreciate the “authentic” Me.
My time on steemit helped me growing into the real version of myself and feel great about it. I have learnt that there is no mistake if you are honest. It’s not only how we use our powerful words, it’s the way our soul speaks to another.

I could feel yours in seconds!

Sometimes we become those lions indeed who stand proud in the light because we know what darkness means. Oh yes! Comedy is probably one of the most difficult genres IMO and I wish to learn how to tell my dramatic, sad and also happy stories but make many people smile or even laugh out loud because they can resonate. I wish to get used to become a “comedian”, spreading the truth with a 😃 smile. B82E241D-E845-457E-88AD-51DE3E1FDAFA.jpeg

Good morning @mammasitta!

Being real is definitely the lesson here, but sometimes even I blur the line between my message and how I present it. Am I acting? Playing as a character??? xD

Big mood on Steemit helping writers, artists, and designers discover their true talents and allow everyone to find what their voice is. I started my account gimmicky, but then realized that if I can't write about the things I want—Why even write?

I sucked it up and took a step in expressing my true thoughts and feelings, and there the community of Steemit was to embrace who I am as a person. Things like these are why I stayed on this site as long as I did, and why I came back.

"Sometimes we become those lions indeed who stand proud in the light because we know what darkness means."

As above, so below!! You understand perfectly c:

You gotta be tough as nails while retaining humility to be a successful comedian. This requires the mastery of knowing how to be blunt without hurting others.

"I wish to learn how to tell my dramatic, sad and also happy stories but make many people smile or even laugh out loud because they can resonate."

As a writer, this an excellent wish to have. The ability to tell your story with such depth and clarity, that others would swear they were there.

Love it ^_^
@shello

Oh gosh Your comments are more than gold and I can’t even catch up on them! 🌺
