I have known people whose job was not related to coding at all but, they made it in a way that everything they did was being made programatically. I sometimes even think of building algortihm to read through my emails and writing back in the same way what I would write. I think there are players (office tools) that try to replicate this but, having a perfect answering machine requires a huge effort. I think Bill Gates is taking about the efficiency of coding: either I write all my emails manually for a year or I write a program for the whole year that will write my emails for the next 10 years ahah!
