Yeah, that's not a good idea. It's actually a shame, and should stop.
It's not avoidable - otherwise the rewards can't be paid.
I am aware. But I'm of the opinion, but perhaps steemit.com is actually dragging STEEM the currency down. I'm not sure if steemit.com will be a successful experiment, but STEEM the blockchain has potential.
