Buddy Teevens, the head football coach at Dartmouth, had his right leg amputated after colliding with a bicycle last month. His wife confirmed this on Tuesday.

According to a police report acquired by the Valley News, Teevens, 66, was hurt when a pickup truck struck him around 8:40 p.m. as he attempted to cross State Road A1A, the main beach road along the Florida coast, while pedaling home with his wife from a restaurant.
