According to various sources, including CoinTelegraph, the dark web website AlphaBay could be in the middle of setting up a exit scam that would render thousands of users without their bitcoins.
Alphabay abruptly went down earlier and this had users pressuring AB moderators to have the site release a public/official notice about the issue. Mods, as seen below, have tried to abate the angry users, letting them know that the site is only down for server upgrades.
