PRIVACY is necessary.
FREEDOM is everything.
TECHNOLOGY is advancing, GOVERNANCE must also.
Some people CAN share THEIR lives with everybody, Some people accept sharing OUR lives with their leaders, We DO NOT, we want to give you the CHOICE.
Money may be the ROOT of all evil, at least you should DECIDE where you plant yours.
Help us decide where WE plant ours.
The DAOS Are untouchable.
Join us WHEN you like, WHY you like, and, for AS LONG as you like. Let's explore ALL the options together.

This is the very first draft of what I would like to propose as Darknet's official manifesto. I'd like for you all to add lines, suggest changes and removals if you think some parts are not what Darknet is about. Currently, I feel that our focus is on Privacy, Community building, usability and governance.
I have tried to design something which can be expanded upon, hopefully we can get a microsite built so that people can view the things that we feel are important, and why we see them as important. I'm hoping this will increase interest, involvement and adoption of Darknet I'm hoping our manifesto can be reviewed and changed every year or so. I personally don't like buzzwords like 'Coin' so I've left them out. I'm dreaming of us having a video advert with our manifesto as the audio
Please remember that Manifesto is all about community consensus, it's OUR vision for the future of Darknet, and a reflection of our moral and ethical values.
I've decided to upload each draft version to steem, because it's an immutable record of the development of this particular measure of consensus. I feel that steem will be vital to correct governance record keeping, along with a similar decentralised blockchain type system for audio or video storage once its completed.

Awesome this is already on Bitsquare. Can't wait for TOR integration in OpenBazaar coming up, seems like it would be a perfect pairing with this coins ideals having a decentralized anonymous marketplace available. Is the rebranding going to come a new name?
Yes the main reason for the rebranding is to change the name and the negative connotations. Rebranding should be complete by end of JAN 2017. I believe TOR is already intergrated. And its only a matter of time before someone builds an openbazaar plug-in. But I believe the main form of income for Darknet coin holders will be in the DAOS that the coin starts with its governance budget and the income that these DAOS create. That's why our specific form of governance is so important.
