TuneDAO is Here!
An Introduction
We are extremely excited to announce the launch of our core DAO. After much thought and deliberation it’s finally time to set the wheels in motion and begin our journey!
While navigating the DAOverse over the last 4 months, we have explored numerous iterations of what a DAOrecords DAO could look like and in spite of the current limitations we have settled on a ‘phase one’ version, where the focus will be on building our core community and launching the first series of global projects.
Our Mission:
The primary purpose of the DAO, as with DAOrecords, is to empower artists through ‘content creation’ grants and award members who contribute to the overall growth of the DAO. We are also passionate about assisting community projects that make positive social impact.
Membership:
TuneDAO is a membership-based DAO consisting of our founders, artists, contributors and stakeholders.
Upon launch, TuneDAO will not be open to the general public. But, we encourage people who are interested to first get involved in our community, where they can openly propose how they’d like to participate.

What We Hope To Achieve:
All content created through our grants will be monetized to assist us in achieving sustainability. By releasing music through DAOrecords we will cycle profits back into the DAO so that we can continue to empower artists and their communities.
More than just the music, we plan to utilize NFTs in a variety of ways to raise funds for our mission. This includes our ‘cover art collectibles’ as well as other collaborations.
We understand that it will take time to achieve our goals, so by going through the process we hope to learn, innovate and build a strong community. It’s all about the journey!
Baby Steps:
To further introduce TuneDAO to the existing community, we are participating in Round 5 of the Gitcoin Grants with a proposal to raise funds for our first content creation grant. This grant will be used to fund the production of a 4 song GitTunes Compilation to be released on DAOrecords and includes some incentives for contributors, you can find more information on our Gitcoin.
Doing this will allow us to test and measure the processes involved in making the grant accessible to musicians around the world, how proposals will be submitted, expectations and the mechanics behind issuing the funds and releasing the submitted content. Over time we will fine tune the process so that we can make participation as friction-less as possible.
How You Can Support:
Before we are up and running with content generating profits to feed the DAO, we will be bootstrapping our way through this initial phase and will need all the support we can get.
- You can contribute directly to our Gitcoin project, which will be set up to receive recurring monthly contributions that empower artists to create content that not only supports the creators, but enables us to achieve sustainability.

- Stream existing DAOrecords content on all platforms. We recommend Emanate if you support Blockchain platforms that offer a higher payout per stream
- Another way to show your support is by sharing on social media. Tweet or Post about us or our content as often as you like, as that helps generate interest in what we’re doing and in turn generates more streams
