A pod of Dolphins gave a new Navy submarine a guard of honour - by swimming in its wake.

America’s new Virginia-class attack sub was completing its sea trials when the dolphins were spotted leaping out of the water in front of the giant vessel.

The nuclear powered, deep ocean sub was put through its paces off the coast of Newport, Virginia, on May 26.
