📝 Ibnu Rajab, may God have mercy on him, said,

"Ashghar hypocrisy is the door to great hypocrisy, just as immorality is the door to disbelief.

A person who continues to commit immorality, it is feared that his faith will be taken away from him before his death. Similarly, the person who continues to be a hypocrite (ashghar), it is feared that his faith will be uprooted and he will also become a pure hypocrite."

🔹 Umair bin Habib said, "Faith increases and decreases."

He was asked, "What are the signs of increase and decrease?"

He replied, "If we remember Allah azza wa jalla, then praise and purify Him, that is the increase. When we neglect, forget, and ignore Him, that is a sign of diminishment.” (Reported by Imam Abu Uthman ash-Shabuni, may God have mercy on him, in 'Aqidatus Salaf Ashabil Hadith p. 266)
