Dungeons & Obviously the Cannibals

So we had just acquired our guide and began our trek up the mountain. I felt like I had an instant connection with our guide Ien. He seems like a very straight forward no bullshit kind of dude who knew what he was doing. Despite him volunteering for the job after we had offered 5 gold per day to a different guide and that he had immediately warned of us cannibal Dwarves residing on the mountain, everything seemed to be going smoothly. We traveled most of the way up the mountain without incident and it seemed like we would reach our destination with two or three days.

As we ascended the mountain we hit a fork in the road. Our guide informed us that the path on the right would be slower but safer and the path on the left would require us to sneak past the cannibal encampment but would be quick. Obviously we were going to take the shorter route. Obviously we picked the cannibals.

Our group has never been much for stealth so I harbored no illusions that we would be capable of sneaking past the encampment. Regardless as we approached we attempted to sneak into the camp. Everything was going so smoothly we had to go out of our way to screw things up.

The camp was totally empty, what great luck! So we needed to quickly come up with a plan to snuff out our good fortune. We decided to spend the night at the camp.

Lyle our Druid had a way to help hide us in case anyone returned to the camp we wouldn't be spotted. I took first watch. All was quiet as everyone settled down to rest and my watch passed without incident. I then woke up Florence the Cat person and let her take our watch with Lyle. And off I went to sleep.

I'm not exactly sure what happened next but I awoke inside a tent filled with smoke. Even though we had been shielded from the outside world, something or someone had lit our tent on fire and we were forced to evacuate. As we emerged from the tent we realized we were surrounded by, obviously, the cannibals.

No waaay hahahaha. What a good story, man.

And hey, on the second paragraph you said "the path on the right" twice. I guess you meant one of those be "the path on the left" lol.

Good post!

good eye!

I can't help to notice these things hahaha.

It has been fixed, Cannibals always on the left!

Good to know! Now we can be careful of the left side!

To take along route and reach safe was better .never risk to take shout route .life can not be replaced.

I just really wanted to meet a cannibal

Great In for story
