Review of Rosie Kay Dance Company's MK ULTRA

As @dana-varahi and I entered the theatre and saw the large white triangle we still had little idea of what was in store.

The white triangle was to serve as a screen onto which a film was projected as a backdrop to the dance performance. The film itself started before we saw a dancer, with the familiar dry tones of the voice of Andy Curtis giving a quick overview of the birth of the Discordian religion and their prank of operation mindfuck. This was a pleasant surprise to myself and Dana, as we had not realised Discordianism would even be mentioned as part of the performance. It quickly moved on the CIA mind control experiments and the conspiracy of mind controlled Disney celebrities, and how operation mindfuck fed the conspiracies.

The symbolism in the backdrop features eyes in triangles, sometimes echoed with triangle hand gestures around the eyes of dancers, monarch butterflies, the red slippers from the Wizard of Oz, and Alice from the Disney film. I couple of times black triangle imagery reminded me of our recent workings with an entity called Trigag, themselves part of a pantheon that has strong Alice in Wonderland connnections. Masonic imagery, such as checkerboards and the familiar compass and setsquare also featured strongly.

As the performance unfolded we were introduced to each of the seven dancers with a brief solo performance, stunning group performances and more film only interludes. The dance expressed erotic displays that none-the-less felt disturbing in the context of the story, intermingled with disturbing movements suggesting the dancers breaking through their robotic conditioning. The costumes were colourful skin tight outfits covered in similar symbols to the film.

Was this dance itself part of the conspiracy from the illuminati? Or was it another operation mindfuck from the Discordians? Have they inserted subliminal programming into my mind to change my actions? Am I now passing along second hand programming to you the reader? Will the world ever be the same again?

I suspect the answer to all these questions, or at least four of them, will be 'No'. But then a mindless drone would say that wouldn't they?
