Dancing my way to Steemfest Episode #6: The artist is not the scientist

in #dance8 years ago

Wrote this on my blog originally. Are you an artist who hates dealing with technical details and shit? This is for you!

For a long, long while after the inception of this blog, I was pretty occupied, or obsessed even with wanting to learn how to make money online.

I was also trying to learn how to blog and write to gain a certain, tangible result, like you know, traffic, going viral, getting likes and shares and all that.

I learnt a fair share of tactics, strategies and stuff of course. They were legit.

But then I learnt, every time you try to learn how to do or process something, or ANYTHING, you’d escape your heart and get into your head.

And also, you’re only learning from someone who knows how to teach, but never do.

Simply ask yourself, “If it works so well, why do these people based their career on teaching only and never doing? Why do they charge for it?”

It’s because they are not artists. They will never understand what it’s like to create true art by expressing yourself.

They can only go so far and they will only help you so much, usually depending on how much you want to pay.

Sometimes, you just have to fuck learning.

Stop learning. Just do. Express yourself. Create your art on an extremely honest level filled with authenticity. That is how you’ll be able to create your best shit ever. That is how you can appeal to people and actually inspire them.

Anything less? You won’t be able to reach out. Because people can tell. People can always tell when you’re not honest.

So learn all you like, but ultimately, always trust your gut and have the courage to do things your way.

No one else can teach you that. Whoever says they can are fucking liars, or con artists.
