He tends to disappear about month 9-12 of his projects... I guess he uses the time to figure out what his next project will be.
But do not worry, it takes him a year more before kicking the project all together...

I suspect he is buried deep in the graphene code, trying to get their latest change for the Steem block-chain completed.
