Abraham of the day - breathing is a connector to the Non-Physical
There is nothing about your physical awareness that connects you more to the Non-Physical aspect of your Being than that of your breathing.
Many assume that the process of breathing is only about your physical nature, but that is not the case. The process of breathing is much more than an essential function of your physical body. Indeed, it is the flowing of Spirit to you, and through you. That is the reason that when the focusing of Spirit through your physical body ceases, your breathing ceases, also.

Excellent post! Thanks for sharing this fantastic concept of the spiritual aspect of breathing. I have recently taken up meditation and starting to work on being more present and aware of my breath. But hadn't link it to a spiritual practice. Your choice of picture goes well with the chosen words of wisdom.
Thanks for the lovely words here and thanks also for noticing the connection between the photo and the words. It is not always easy to find this connection but in this case, as you say, I think it works quite well :)
