Sir Winston Leonard Spencer Churchill was a British politician, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom during the Second World War.
Often appreciated as one of the greatest war leaders of the century, served as prime minister in two terms (1940-1945) and (1951-1955). He was an officer in the British Army, historian, writer and artist.
He is the only British Prime Minister who won the Nobel Prize for Literature (1953) and was the first person to receive Honorary Honorary Citizenship Title of the United States.
