Oh it's definitely a gimmick. No doubt about that. I just wanted to get a pack of it shot and scanned before they didn't offer it anymore. Impossible Project was the company that was born when Polaroid went bankrupt, and now they've purchased the Polaroid name brand and started it back up, so the Impossible brand is kaput and their website redirects to their new Polaroid page....and they don't sell the black & orange/yellow/red/pink anymore. That was like...2 weeks ago I think. Brand new Impossible film is going to be unavailable soon after the retailers run out of their stock.
